Stop 17 – Mystic, CT

One of the memories that sticks out most about Mystic, CT was the drive to get there. When we first started this journey I was filled with anxiety about towing this massive rig. I never could have imagined that one day I would be pulling it through the middle of New York City. That happened.

Mystic was super cool, everything I hoped it would be. The town was full of people and lined with shops on either side of the street. We found this awesome little smokehouse that had some of the best smoked meats I’ve ever had. I was blown away. The park we stayed at was nothing special, truly just a place to park.

The highlight of our time in Mystic was the Old Mystic Village. It was a collection of shops and restaurants that had tons of character. We visited a couple of times to explore.

We originally only planned to be in Connecticut for 3 nights before continuing on to Rhode Island but we decided to stay through the week!
