- What's new with me?
Things are looking good…
I’ve been able to go to work every day, work a full productive day and then come home for a relaxing evening usually envolving a movie, some guitar playing time and some time with Kristen. It’s great. I’ve been told that I tend to under-react to things, but I’m very happy about things right now and couldn’t ask for much more.
I joined Netflix again recently (instead of getting cable) and I couldn’t be more excited than I am when I get home and find the matte red envelope sitting in my mialbox. It’s sort of like a ticket to a fun evening. I get to sit, relax and unwind all while taking in a new movie that I’ve never seen before. I get to experience another movie. Then, by the time it’s over, I’m ready for bed.
If there’s one thing that I enjoy in life, it’s being able to sit and enjoy a movie. I have fun being able to watch it and find out if it’s going to be any good or not. Will I like the way it ends? Will it join the ranks of films that I didn’t like. It’s somewhat exciting. So far I’ve watched the following movies: 50 First Dates, Mystic River, Finding Forrester, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Remake) and tonight I’m watching Cabin Fever. This weekend I plan on watching “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape”, which is a movie that Kristen’s wanted to see for some time.
I’ve also been playing guitar a lot. My RP-10 arrived safely and I’ve been enjoying experimenting with all of the sounds that it can produce. I haven’t been dissapointed with the quality at all, but I’ve still got a lot of learning to do before I can milk it for it’s best tonal fruits. It’s a fun gadget to learn.
Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) starts up again here soon (next monday actually) and I’m looking forward to that. I hope that I can be more diligent with my study so I don’t feel like I’m short-changing myself. I’m confident that God will bring me through it though, and the fact is that even if I didn’t do the lesson at all it’s a wonderful environment to be in and I learn so much for the more mature and experienced men that are there. True pearls of wisdom.
Well, I believe that’s it for now, I’m going to watch a movie…
