Stop 9 – Gulf Shores, AL
- RV Living
Gulf Shores was beautiful! We spent the better part of a week minutes away from the Gulf with a constant breeze and 70-ish degree temperatures. We spent lots of time outside but only a few hours on the beach.
I can’t describe how amazing it is to be back on the road traveling the country with Crys doing so much better. Living and traveling in an RV is difficult if only one person is physically capable of setting up and breaking down not to mention all of the things we just couldn’t do without her being in pain. I’m thankful she’s doing so well! She’s been getting so many things cleaned up and each stop has been far more enjoyable because of the effort she’s been putting in.
One of the things I won’t forget about this place was the food! I had some of the best pizza ever AND discovered this sushi burrito place. If you know me you know that those two words are probably my favorite food words. I’ll be craving it for the next couple of months, no doubt.
This stop will also be remembered for all of the good choices Lil made while we were here. One day she ended up getting 3 rewards including an ice cream date because she had done so well!
Today is Friday, New Years Eve and tomorrow morning we’re leaving early to continue to Florida. I’m trying my best not to rush things and enjoy the final moments we have in Alabama, but I’m getting super excited to spend time in Disney World. We’ve been making reservations for parks and meals and I can hardly contain myself! The first night we’re in Florida we have dinner reservations for Biergarten in Epcot, one of my favorite places!
Another in-camper activity I’ve been enjoying is learning to make great espresso. In December Crys surprised me with a legit espresso machine and espresso grinder. I’ve been working on dialing in my shots and enjoying having espresso drinks every single day. It’s glorious.
Today we’ll be doing a lot of packing up, checking out Lambert’s for lunch and might spend some time on the beach later today.
