We have a few odds and ends left to do, put up baseboard, ceiling trim, caulk some joints and hook the water up to the dishwasher, but we&#8217;re done! Now comes the fun part of making some minor decorating changes!

Two of the projects that I completed myself in the kitchen were the installation of the light fixture over the sink as well as the installation of the under-cabinet lighting. I&#8217;m very pleased with the results!

As part of our kitchen renovation we decided to add a new cabinet and countertop to the kitchen. The room is very large and having all of the cabinets and appliances shoved into a corner just doesn&#8217;t work. So, we&#8217;ve added more usable space and improved the overall look.

Tomorrow should be the last day of work on the kitchen. We need to get the new cabinet set, reinstall trim, install the countertops, setup the dishwasher, stove and refrigerator and make a few last minute cosmetic changes and we&#8217;re done!

The photo doesn&#8217;t show it very well but we have vinyl floor that looks like dark toned marble tile. I&#8217;ll try to get a better photo of the floor that shows what it looks like.

Kristen found some cool shades through Pottery Barn that I really like. I got those installed with only a moderate amount of struggle. 🙂

Installed a new ceiling fan and got the walls all sanded and ready for paint.

I finally got the new light fixture put up over the sink but we&#8217;re not happy with the red shades so we&#8217;ll be replacing those 🙂 We also got the first coat of paint on the walls, a sandy beige color.
