The new blog!

Well, as you can see I’ve started a new online journal. The old one took way to long to update and wasn’t as user-friendly as I wanted it to be. So, I’ll be using this system (which rocks). Let me highlight a couple of the features of this system called Moveable Type.

One of the biggest reasons I decided to start using an automated system like this was to allow the people interested in my journal to subscribe to it. What this means is that you can sign up and have an email sent to you every time I post a new entry here. Pretty cool if you’re wanting to keep up with what I’m doing.

Another nice feature (for those of you who use RSS feeds) is the new Sindicate this Site feature. It allows you to add an XML-based news feed to your favorite news management program. I know, most people don’t use these, but I do and so do most of the people I know. So it’s there for you to use.

I also love the calendar-based menu. You look at the calendar and any date that is linked has a post for that day. Very cool!

The search feature is nice too.

I’m hoping that this new, easy to use, system will help motivate me to post on a more regular basis. I’m pretty sure it’ll help.

There’s not a lot of new stuff going on right now, I’ve been going to the gym again on a regular basis and loving every minute of it. Kristen and I are doing well. She’s doing student teaching right now so she isn’t getting home until around 7:00 in the evening some nights.

I haven’t worked much more on my game, Fantastic Voyage, but it is looking really good. I haven’t had the time to sit and tinker with it like I want. 🙂

I’ve also entered all of my entries from before 2004 into this system so it’s easier for you to browse through past entries. 🙂

Well, that’s it for now. Post your comments and let me know what you think about the new journal!
