This week I’ve hired my first employee at Agee Design, my brother Mitchell. He’s been working very hard to learn video production as well as some graphic design basics and the door has finally opened to give us an opportunity to take him to the next level. While the change is extremely exciting, it’s amazing to me the complexity of truly hiring an employee vs a contractor, I’m amazed that there are so many small businesses out there that actually are able to take this step.

I’m looking forward to the coming days and months as we spend more time working on projects together, and I look forward to the possibility of company growth that he creates. But more than anything else I look forward to being able to spend lots of time, doing what I love, with someone else that I love. It’s a true blessing.
