Well, Christmas time is here and the weather is showing it! Take a look at some photos I took last night while out and about (click on the thumbnail to view the larger version). I love the snow when it first comes, but I hate it when February rolls around and there's still tons of nasty brown snow.
Well, believe it or not there's not a whle lot new going on... I'm trying to go to open houses every Sunday so I can get a sense of how much houses cost. Hopefully when we're ready to buy that will help us find a good place and make sure that we don't get "taken" in the process. I've only been to a couple of open houses so far because of scheduling conflicts, but I plan on going to a few this weekend.
Today's been a good day. Kristen and I met this morning with a mortgage broker and learned more about what our options are for buying a house. They approved us there on the spot for the amount we were wanting, but the monthly payment was just a little out of our reach. We also found out that our credit ratings are good... well, mine is "Good. Better than average." and Kristen's is "Very, very, very Good." in the mortgage broker's words. :)
Well, things are going great right now. Kristen and I just found out that our current landlords are interested in selling the house we're renting to us in the future. Now all we have to do is find a good way to finance it.
Well, the youth group yard sale went on without a hitch and we made over $1,100!!! We were expecting to make about $500 or maybe at most $700, but in the end we were very happy with the results.
Well, Kristen and I spent most of them weekend getting ready for the first Youth Group yard sale which happens next saturday morning. it was a lot of work, but I think it'll all be worth it. We've had TONS of donations from people at the church for the sale and we have to go through all of it and price everything before we can put it into the sale. It's fun though. There were a few items that people donated that we expected might be worth some money but I looked them up on Ebay and they weren't. :\

Well, it's been a while since my last post, so I thought I'd take the time to post a little update. Things are going really well right now. A couple of weeks ago I resigned from my position with Living-Dead.com so I can move on with life and see where God is leading me. It's been a nice change.
As most people know, today is the 2nd anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center towers. I find it odd how different this anniversary is from last years in terms of the emotion attached for most people. Last year I believe Yahoo completely redesigned their color scheme to be all in grayscale. I remember posting something related to 9/11 on Living-Dead.com. This year seems to be a little different, people don't seem to be making as big a deal about it. Moving on I guess.
Well, we got back from our trip to Kentucky and everything went well. We mostly sat around the hotel room and watched TV and played Risk, which we bought while we were there. It was a great time.
Well, things are going very well. I'm about finished with my time at Pizza Hut (I'm done as of the 28th of this month) and I'm very excited to get my weekends and evenings back. It'll be very nice.
